The Club at Mediterra, a multiple award-winning private club located in Naples, Florida has an opening for a Director of Landscaping to join our dynamic team.

Brief Job Summary

The Director of Landscaping, reporting to the Director of Agronomy, will be responsible for the 22-acre clubhouse area which includes the sports club, swimming pool area, tennis, pickle ball and bocce courts and periphery plantings. The candidate will be responsible for all landscape plants, shrubs, trees and lawns within this area. In addition, the candidate will assist in landscaping projects on the golf courses and work closely with the Golf Course Superintendents. The candidate will ensure a well-manicured landscape display for all members and guests.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and supervise all landscape installation and maintenance activities

  • Design and order plant material for all annual beds with 2 – 3 change outs per year

  • Supervise and direct staff to achieve the desired expectations

  • Schedule irrigation, fertilizer and pesticide applications to maintain proper health and growth of all plant material

  • Operational knowledge of equipment necessary for maintaining lawns and landscape

  • Train landscaping crew on proper horticultural practices to ensure the highest quality of service is provided

  • Develop and manage a comprehensive budget

 Education/Certificate Requirements

  • Current Florida Turf and Ornamental pesticide license

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a supervisory role

  • Extensive knowledge of South Florida plant material

  • Irrigation system maintenance and repair experience

  • Valid driver’s license
