Salary: Entry Rate: $54,932.02 - Maximum Rate: $96,702.06 

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree. Three years of professional experience in the development and maintenance of a botanical garden or similar exotic garden.  Additional experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Recruitment Notes

This position involves being a spokesperson in promoting the Park and its value in the community; exhibit, evaluate, and recommend tree and plant material suitable for home, commercial and public landscapes. The duties also include creating education and conservation partnerships; increasing youth engagement and volunteer participation in horticultural, conservation and stewardship practices; and be active in the Department's creation of a system of natural heritage areas that promote sustainable communities. Additionally this incumbent is tasked with fostering relationships with community and governmental partners to execute programs, activities, events and interpretive exhibits; creating a marketing and communications plan to effectively promote these classes, programs, events that further the Park's mission. This position also develops and implements strategic business plans to maximize potential funding, revenue generating opportunities, and preparing annual budgeting.
