Job Title: Assistant Project Manager / Licensed Herbicide Applicator

Location: Fort Myers, FL (Travel required, company truck provided)

Job Type: Full Time

Salary: Based on experience

Summary: Responsible for managing labor crews and daily operations. Collaborate with staff on current and future projects.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with crew leaders/employees to coordinate daily and weekly activities
  • Manage projects in coordination with crew leaders, staff, and management
  • Manage efficiency of labor crews and efficacy of techniques used on job
  • Maintain quality control by checking on projects daily
  • Communicate with staff on project timelines
  • Hire new labor employees when needed
  • Communicate with Human Resources to report injuries, sick leave, vacations, and other time off requests

Qualifications:

  • Education and/or Experience: High school or greater. Experience in the environmental services field preferred, but not required
  • Communication Level: Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) preferred but no required. Must be able to read and write effectively as to prepare daily tasks, administrative paperwork, and email correspondence
  • Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Outlook (Excel preferred)
  • Certifications and/or Licenses Required: Must have a valid Florida driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. *** Core and Natural Areas FDACS License will be required within 30 days of employment
  • Materials/Equipment Used: Mechanical knowledge and hand tools preferred
  • Pass pre-employment drug screening, background and criminal check
