Spray Technician

Job Overview
The Spray Technician’s basic function is to apply chemical products effectively and safely on a routine basis. The Spray Technician must ensure that all work is performed to the company’s and the customer’s expectations in a safe and successful manner and one that ensures continued profitability for the company

Duties
- Understand and implement an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Program.

-Ensure customer satisfaction through excellent service, effective communication, and relationship building.

- Follow the instructions of the Scheduling Coordinator's procedures and requirements.

- Maintains daily job and time logs; completes and submits no later than 7:00 am. the following business day.

-Maintain repair reports and executes maintenance schedules on a timely basis.

- Must properly calibrate sprayers and spreaders on a regular basis.

-Must inspect all equipment prior to use and clean equipment immediately after use.

- Dispose of all waste products properly.

-Attend CEU classes as required.

- Any other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

-Must have a Valid driver's license

- Experience in landscape maintenance or related field
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools
- Knowledge of lawn care practices
- Ability to drive and operate farm machinery
- Familiarity with pest control methods is a plus

Education and Experience:

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· Active Commercial, Private, Aquatic pesticide license (s)

· Valid and in good standing driver’s license.

· 3 years of experience as a Spray Technician.

· Construction/Landscape/Lawn maintenance industry experience preferred.

· Bilingual a plus. Payrate based on experience

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and stooping, turning the head and torso, reaching grasping, bending, and flexing the arms, legs, wrists, hands, and fingers. The senses of being able to see, hear, smell, taste, and have full power of speech are required. The ability to climb and balance is essential.

· Must be able to lift more than 75 pounds at times.
