Established South Florida Landscape Company is seeking qualified, highly organized landscape maintenance professionals to join our growing team, which caters to commercial and government clients in the fields of landscape maintenance, design & installation, and arbor care.
Job Description
The Account Manager is responsible for overseeing multiple job sites and landscape maintenance crews, ensuring high-quality service delivery and operational efficiency. Responsible for maintaining SFM’s safety standards and enhancing processes.
Essential Functions
The list below describes general duties and responsibilities but is not limited to:
- Create work plans and ensure they are followed to meet and exceed customers' expectations.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for clients, and developing and maintaining strong relationships with them.
- Train and oversee crews and monitor the quality of work provided.
- Communicate and coordinate with the operations manager to ensure accurate completion of all maintenance services.
- Develop team members with best industry practices, maintenance techniques, and company standards.
- Enhancement sales: well versed in irrigation, horticulture and landscape installation services.
- Lead in the resolution of customer problems or concerns.
- Monitor tools, equipment, and machinery for necessary maintenance and repairs.
- Accurately track and record job expenses and hours worked.
- Manage personnel to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Delegate tasks effectively to Maintenance Crew Members.
- Enforce company policies and safety procedures rigorously.
- Ensure that the job site is consistently maintained in a safe and clean condition.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in landscape maintenance.
- Proficiency in both English and Spanish.
- Knowledgeable in various plant materials, including palms and trees.
- Capable of operating skid steer, backhoe, and loader.
- Proficiency in computer use.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on quick and thorough resolution.
- Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced work environment.
- Demonstrates a positive attitude.
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred but a combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Florida Pesticide and Fertilizer License preferred, or willingness to obtain one during the probationary period.
- Landscape industry / horticulture certifications preferred (FNGLA, ISA, LIAF).
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment screening, including a Level-II background check and drug test.
- Adhere to grooming standards as outlined in SFM’s Employee Handbook.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for long periods, digging and lifting heavy objects of up to 55lbs.
- Must be able to work in and around various landscaping settings including direct contact with various plant and landscaping materials and exposure to various dust and noise.
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
- Ability to drive.
