Lawn Maintenance Laborer
Overview:
The Lawn Maintenance Laborer is responsible for performing a variety of tasks to ensure the upkeep and appearance of lawns, gardens, and outdoor spaces. This role involves routine lawn care, including mowing, trimming, and edging, as well as basic landscape maintenance. The Laborer will work under the direction of a supervisor or Lawn Maintenance Foreman and contribute to maintaining high standards of quality and service.
Key Responsibilities:
□ Mow, trim, and edge lawns using various types of equipment, such as lawnmowers, string trimmers, and edgers.
□ Prune and trim shrubs, bushes, and small trees to maintain shape and appearance.
□ Remove weeds, dead plants, and debris from flower beds, walkways, and other areas.
□ Mulch and prepare soil for planting, including adding compost or other soil amendments.
□ Collect and dispose of leaves, clippings, branches, and other debris from job sites.
□ Maintain a clean and organized work area during and after tasks are completed.
□ Assist in setting up and breaking down equipment and materials on job sites.
□ Communicate any issues or observations about the landscape to the supervisor or Foreman.
□ Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
□ Performing miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
□ Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and operating equipment.
□ Strong work ethic and the ability to work well as part of a team.
□ Reliable transportation to Blue Water Landscape office located in Hobe Sound.
□ Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Compensation:
□ $15.00 - $18.00 per hour, based on experience
