Naples Botanical Garden is a 170-acre world-class paradise, featuring the flora and cultures of the tropics and sub-tropics including Brazil, the Caribbean, Southeast Asia, and Florida. The Garden’s mission is to connect people and plants through display, education, conservation, and applied science. The Garden has beautifully restored native habitats, cultivated gardens, walking trails, and public programming that offer education and enjoyment for people of all ages. Position Summary: In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in many areas of the collections, including the nurseries, orchid house, display gardens and natural areas. You will propagate plants, assist in monitoring plant health, and maintain plants by watering, weeding, grooming, fertilizing, and repotting. You will work under the direction of both the Nursery Operations Manager and Curator of Records. You will assist in plant inventories and maintenance of the database both in the nurseries and throughout the garden. To be successful, you should be organized, responsible, and have a passion for horticulture. You should be able to take direction as needed and work independently or with a team, including volunteers.
