Nursery Assistant Production Manager
Lloyd Nursery is a 50 acre wholesale containerized ornamental nursery, located in North Florida near Tallahassee, family owned and operated since 1980. We're currently searching for a Nursery Assistant Production Manager.
The Nursery Assistant Production Manager is a full-time employee within the Lloyd Nursery Plant Production Team. This individual will report to our Lead Grower and be a liaison to our multiple field crews. This 10 to 30-person department requires a fast paced, proactive, solutions driven thinker with a mind for plant identification, health and cycles, people management, leadership, efficiency and punctuality.
Primary functions will include all aspects of caring for and maintaining various types of nursery stock. Lloyd Nursery is a fast-growing company with excellent opportunities for exponential career growth.

Areas of accountability will include overall plant production tasks such as watering, pruning, tagging, fertilizing, potting, spacing, order pulling, equipment operation, pest management and chemical applications.
Full-time position in our family-owned plant nursery. Monday-Friday 7 am-5 pm. Some weekends are required. Some nights are required as needed (i.e. frost protection tasks).
Job Requirements:
- Experience working in agriculture
- Education in agriculture
- Must be flexible and able to work in a diverse team environment and be supportive of co-workers and other managers
- Must be able to work in inclement weather conditions (hot, cold, & rainy)
- Must be able to lift 50lbs and walk, bend or stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to work extended hours
- Must have basic math skills and the ability to count items accurately
- Computer literacy
- Good oral and written communication skills
