Asst Farm Mgr

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Assistant Farm Manager to oversee the daily operations of our 130 acre nursery. This person works directly with the General Manager and must have experience in management of people.

Duties: Grounds and Facilities

Manage and oversee the maintenance of Nursery Property including:

Buildings

Green Houses

Shade houses

Roadways

Ponds

Fences and Gates

Culverts and pumps

Safety Program Manager

Ensures compliance with State and Federal regulations

Conducts safety audits with the help of Supervisors

Chairs the Safety Committee

Conducts weekly safety meetings with employees

Works with the General Manager and Main office when accidents occur

Equipment maintenance

Oversee the maintenance and repair of all nursery equipment used in the production & growing of plants

Spray Department

Oversee and manage the Spray Department including:

All chemical applications and records of applications

Chemical inventory

Must have and understanding of equipment and building maintenance and repair

Must be organized

Has computer skills

Bi-lingual skills

CDL license is a plus
