We have over 40 years of experience growing plants on hundreds of acres, servicing Garden Centers in large mass-market retailers across the country. Position Overview:
Are you a hands-on leader who thrives working outdoors and managing teams? We’re hiring an Agricultural Assistant Manager to join our nursery crew! The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing crews in labor-intensive industries such as agriculture, construction, landscaping, or similar environments. In this role, you’ll supervise multiple teams of nursery workers, help keep daily operations running smoothly, and assist the Production Manager in reaching our production goals.

Responsibilities:

Lead and oversee daily outdoor production teams, ensuring adherence to quality and operational standards.
Manage multiple crews across various nursery locations.
Monitor employee performance and provide direct, hands-on coaching to enhance productivity.
Adjust task assignments in real time to maintain efficiency and quality goals.
Assist in training staff in production techniques, safety protocols, and quality standards.
Analyze production metrics and report progress toward targets.
Promote a positive and efficient work environment.

Qualifications and Skills:

Experienced in supervising crews, preferably in agriculture, landscaping, or construction.
Experience in receiving and inventory management.
Strong basic math skills and attention to detail.
Ability to motivate and guide diverse teams toward operational success.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear interaction at all organizational levels.
Analytical skills to evaluate performance data and make informed decisions.
Flexible and adaptable to shifting priorities in a dynamic work environment.
Valid Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) is beneficial for insurance purposes.
Bilingual candidates preferred.
