Anticipated Pay Range: $30+/hour, depending on skills and experience; 1.5x overtime pay above 40 hours per week
Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (50+ hours per week)

Position Summary

 

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with Project Managers, Crew Leaders, and Administrative Staff to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

 

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with landscape and irrigation installation, strong leadership skills, and proven success in directing multiple crews. Dependability, problem-solving, and clear communication are essential. This position includes a 90-day probationary period.


Key Responsibilities

On-Site Project Supervision

  • Oversee day-to-day project progress, ensuring quality, efficiency, and adherence to budget.
  • Collaborate with Crew Leaders and Project Managers to maintain clear communication throughout the project timeline.
  • Anticipate and resolve challenges, delegating tasks effectively.
  • Review and interpret project plans from Landscape Architect; supervise technical aspects such as irrigation installation, fine grading, plant layout, planting procedures, and site furnishing installation.
  • Finalize projects by completing punch lists, setting up irrigation clocks/timers, drafting as-builts, and coordinating with Project Managers to ensure accurate billing.

Material and Equipment Management

  • Forecast material needs (sod, plants, irrigation supplies, equipment) and coordinate timely ordering/delivery.
  • Work with Crew Leaders to monitor upcoming project requirements.
  • Ensure jobsite equipment is available, safe, and properly maintained.

Record Keeping

  • Maintain accurate and organized records of labor, materials and supplies.
  • Support Crew Leaders in keeping project documentation up-to-date.

Business Oversight

  • Open and/or close the business on assigned days, including directing crews for timely mobilization in the morning and ensuring proper cleanup at day’s end.


Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in agriculture, construction, management, or other related fields preferred. Equivalent experience considered.
  • Licenses: Valid driver’s license required.
  • Certifications: Florida Nursery, Growers, and Landscape Association (FNGLA) certifications preferred.
  • Language: Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred.
  • Experience:
    • 2+ years leading a team required; experience managing multiple crews preferred.
    • 3+ years installing two-wire irrigation systems highly preferred.
    • 3+ years in landscape installation (shrubs, sod, mulch, trees, etc.) highly preferred.
    • Hardscape installation experience preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Word, Excel) highly preferred.
  • Personal Attributes: Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills; detail-oriented; reliable; adaptable; able to work under pressure.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 lbs; work in hot, sunny, or dusty environments.
