Anticipated Pay Range: $20+/hour, depending on skills and experience; 1.5x overtime pay above 40 hours per week
Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (40–50 hours per week)

Position Summary

We are seeking a hands-on Landscape Crew Leader to supervise and motivate a crew in the completion of commercial landscape and irrigation projects. The ideal candidate has experience in landscaping tasks such as planting, sodding, irrigation, and mulching, and knows how to balance efficiency with high-quality results. This position requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead by example, motivating crew members to deliver quality work while maintaining safety standards
  • Oversee daily operations, assigning and delegating tasks effectively
  • Perform a variety of landscaping tasks including sod installation, planting, mulching, irrigation, and equipment operation
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Ensure projects meet deadlines and budget goals
  • Communicate effectively with crew members, supervisors, and managers

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license required
  • 3+ years of experience in landscaping and/or irrigation required
  • 3+ years of experience in hardscaping preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret landscape and irrigation plans preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable transportation to and from work (1401 NW 53rd Ave, Gainesville, FL)
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in outdoor conditions (heat, dust, sun)
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
