Residential Maintenance Superintendent

Job Function:

This role is to serve as the Residential Maintenance Superintendent for Landscape Maintenance. Position is responsible for overseeing job quality, safety and crew training.

Use of Company Vehicle:

• Designated to drive a company vehicle.

Duties:

• Perform regularly scheduled site visits and complete landscape inspections while identifying maintenance concerns as well as their source and work towards resolution
• Work with leadership to improve and enforce quality control standards
• Ensure all crew members are trained and educated on proper equipment usage, safety and quality standards
• Measure quality levels of retail landscape properties to ensure they meet acceptable standards and grade crews performance
• Use checklists, take photographs and enter data into site inspection forms and client files to document findings and generate reports for crews and clients
• Provide feedback to management, crews and clients and provide recommendations for improvement and follow-up to ensure problems are resolved
• Lead and train crew members in proper horticultural care
• Identify plant and turf diseases and be able to apply appropriate measures to insure the health and beauty of client landscapes
• Identify opportunities with crew time studies
• Work with customers to understand their needs, including surveys measuring level of satisfaction
• Identify opportunities for enhancement sales opportunities
• Willing and timely execution of other duties as delegated by leadership

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum 3 (three) years’ experience in landscape industry
• Bachelor’s degree in horticulture preferred
• Must have knowledge of plant ID, annuals, perennials, small trees and shrubs native to our geographical area
• Extensive knowledge of landscape equipment operation and safety procedures
• Ability to repair, replace and adjust sprinkler system components as well be able to understand and program multiple types of irrigation clocks
• Ensure all department and Company safety policies are followed
• Must possess and maintain a spray license in the state of Georgia
• Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of the landscape properties
• Be knowledgeable with computers and be able to work with Word and Excel
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
• Detail oriented and able to manage competing priorities and multiple deadlines in a fast paced environment
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
