- Apply herbicides and pesticides safely and effectively to target pests and invasive weeds.
- Identify and diagnose pest and weed issues and select appropriate treatment methods.
- Maintain accurate treatment logs and service records.
- Operate and maintain sprayers, backpack applicators, and other related equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
- Communicate and document clearly with the growing manager about treatments, follow-up needs, and preventive measures.
- Assist in inventory management of chemicals and supplies.
- Support the team with other landscaping or maintenance duties as needed.
- Represent the company professionally with a positive attitude and excellent customer service.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in pest control, weed management, or a related field.
- Valid Florida pesticide applicator license preferred (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire).
- Strong understanding of herbicide and pesticide usage, safety, and compliance.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly and work outdoors in varying conditions.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong time management abilities.
- Self-starter that can work both independently and collaboratively.
- Must maintain professionalism and composure, even in challenging environments.
