Landscape Supervisor – Sarasota & Florida West Coast

The Opal Collection is a leading beach resort developer, owner, and operator with multiple properties throughout Florida. We are committed to maintaining world-class coastal and tropical landscapes at our resorts, and we are seeking an experienced Landscape Supervisor to oversee subcontracted landscape service providers across our Sarasota and Florida West Coast properties.

Position Overview
This role is responsible for managing subcontracted landscape and irrigation contractors to ensure quality, efficiency, and adherence to resort standards. The ideal candidate has hands-on knowledge of Florida coastal, beach, and tropical plants, irrigation systems, turf management, and pest/disease monitoring.

Responsibilities
- Direct and coordinate subcontracted landscape service providers
- Inspect landscapes for plant health, turf quality, and irrigation efficiency
- Oversee installation and maintenance of beach, coastal, and tropical plant material
- Ensure compliance with resort standards for safety, appearance, and sustainability
- Monitor irrigation scheduling and water management practices
- Provide feedback to contractors and report to management on progress/issues

Qualifications
- 3+ years of landscaping/grounds management experience, including supervisory or contractor oversight
- Strong knowledge of Florida coastal, beach, and tropical plants, turfgrass care, and irrigation systems
- Familiarity with integrated pest management (IPM) and disease diagnosis
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook) for scheduling, reporting, and documentation
- Proficient in Adobe and photography tools/software for visual reporting and property documentation
- Ability to interpret landscape plans and irrigation drawings
- FNGLA, GI-BMP, or other industry certifications preferred
- Valid Florida driver’s license with clean record
- Strong organizational and communication skills
