Job Title: CDL - Class A Local Driver

Reports to: Logistics Coordinator

 

Position Overview

We are a wholesale nursery seeking a reliable, customer-focused CDL driver to join our team. This position primarily handles local and regional deliveries throughout Central and North Florida, including regular routes to the Jacksonville area. This is a hybrid role. When delivery volume is lighter, the employee will have the option to work in the nursery to ensure a full 40-hour work week.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Safely operate commercial vehicles for local and regional deliveries (straight trucks and tractor/trailers)

·        Deliver plant material to wholesale customers throughout Central & North Florida

·        Assist customers with offloading at delivery sites (hands-on work required)

·        Comply with DOT regulations and maintain accurate delivery paperwork

·        Communicate professionally with customers and team members

·        Assist with nursery operations when not on delivery routes (loading, staging, general nursery work)

Requirements:

·        Valid CDL (Class A)

·        Clean driving record

·        Ability to lift and handle plant material and assist with offloading

·        Dependable, punctual, and safety-focused

·        Comfortable with physical, outdoor work in Florida weather

·        Positive attitude and willingness to help where needed

·        Experience in the nursery industry is highly valued

·        DOT physical, drug screening and background check
